Register for a Gun Safety and Shooting Class in Louisiana 

This is the class required by the state of Louisiana for the Concealed Carry permit. The same class is required for new permit applications as well as renewals. Click on the option below and select the date you want to attend. 

 The USCCA’s AR-15 Fundamentals course is designed to introduce responsible gun owners to the safe handling, proper maintenance, and effective use of AR-15-style rifles and to bring awareness to the usefulness of this platform in the context of civilian home defense and defense of life. Classroom instruction covers topics such as basic AR-15 nomenclature and function, cleaning and maintenance, and accessorizing the AR-15. Live-range instruction will provide students with an understanding of how to safely and effectively operate their AR-15, confirm zero, and engage in practical and cumulative drills. 

Louisiana will soon become a constitutional carry or permit-less carry state allowing individuals 18 and older who are otherwise allowed to be in possession of a gun to carry a handgun concealed without a permit. While you may legally carry a concealed handgun it is critical that you are abreast of the laws as to where you can, and more importantly where you can’t carry, and the laws for self-defense. In this class we will cover Louisiana Law and will have a practical exercise on how to disassemble, clean, and assemble your gun along with a shooting exercise at the range. 

This course will be conducted whenever we have a regular class, we will also hold a Zoom class that is taken in conjunction with our regular class. The final portion of the class will be scheduled and conducted individually at the range. 

This course is designed for ladies who have little or no experience shooting a pistol. The course is very laid back and in a comfortable environment that allows questions and hands on application. If you desire to shoot you may also join us at the range on any day we have a regular CCW Class

Be your own first responder. This course focuses on life saving skills necessary to sustain life until paramedics arrive. The skills taught in this class prepare the student for a wide variety of medical situations they may find themselves or a loved one experiencing.
